Welcome to our Little Capucine blog! We’re Mama and Papa Capucine, and Little Capucine is our little one. “Capucine” is a French word sometimes used for cozy quarters, ala a gypsy caravan. We started using the term for the tiny house we’re slowly fixing up in our little beach town in California, and when we had our baby the nickname stuck!

While we were waiting for our baby to arrive, we did a lot of shopping over the internet, looking both for the basics and for inspiration. It got to be a staggering amount of effort hunting for what we initially assumed would be easy purchases, so when we started this blog our goal was to share what we struggled to find so you can skip that part!

A lot of our posts are for products, with links to where you can buy them. We also add in inspiration posts, to help keep baby planning fun. You’ll see links to our store in some of our product posts; we put together an Amazon storefront for products we like that you can get from there. It’s our way to try to pay for the costs of running this blog. Buying from our store is buying from Amazon; same safe shopping and everything (you actually end up at Amazon when you check out, as you’ll see). It just sends a few cents our way to keep things going! We also add our comments and research right on product pages, so you know what you’re getting from our perspective.
